Where: 225 N Michigan Ave, Chicago
When: May 19th, Noon-1:30pm
What: Speaker Luncheon
Abstract:
Clinical programming is far more than writing code, it’s a structured, precision driven workflow that bridges raw study data and regulatory submission. This talk walks through the lifecycle of a statistical programmer’s role: from mastering study documents such as the Protocol, SAP and annotated CRFs, to building SDTM and ADaM datasets that meet CDISC standards, to delivering TFLs ready for inclusion in a regulatory package. Also, we will briefly discuss challenges faced in data lock milestones, vendor data reconciliation and P21 validation, with practical insight drawn from hands on experience.
What makes a good clinical programmer isn’t just technical skill, it’s the mindset of continuous growth. This talk also explores how programmers can stay relevant in rapidly evolving landscape, from following SDTM and ADaM implementation guide updates to embracing AI tools, parallel programming techniques and emerging languages like R. Whether you’re early in your journey or a seasoned professional, the goal is to leave with a clearer picture of the full programming pipeline and what it truly takes to deliver submission ready results.
