As Big Data continues to pour into the collective conscience of everyone from CEOs to everyday consumers, analytics is transforming the way we work, think and live. The face of the job market is changing to meet the demand for quantitative professionals to interpret everything from machine data to consumer data to sports statistics. Companies are scrambling to figure out (as quickly as possible) who are these data wizards? What do they do? How do we recruit them? What does all of this mean for you as potential candidates? It means that if you play your cards right you have more options than ever before, since the skilled quantitative labor force is nowhere close to the sizeable demand. Linda Burtch has over 30 years experience recruiting quantitative professionals. She founded Burtch Works as an executive recruiting firm that specializes in placing highly qualified quantitative professionals.
