Need a little career advice or resume boost? Don’t miss our Career Fair. No appointment necessary – the walk-in format invites you to come as early or late as your schedule permits. Meet with representatives from sponsoring corporations to discuss how statisticians fit into their organizations and to review your resume. Career specialists will also host “break out tables” to consult with small groups or individuals on:

  • How to put together a resume
  • Technical requirements for statisticians in the work world
  • Using job boards and social networking in a job search
  • Real world applications for the business statistician
  • Salary ranges

About the Social Media Conference: Creating Insights from the Conversations

The use of social media in our society is becoming more and more ubiquitous and provides opportunities to leverage the content and conversations present to drive research, inform decision-making, and evaluate outcomes. Our conference presenters provide multiple examples of the usefulness of social media in a variety of fields.

Driving and Parking:

Rush University is just off of the Ashland/Paulina exit of the Eisenhower/US290. Head south on Ashland and turn right (heading west) on Harrison St. There is a multi-story garage located just west of the intersection of Paulina and Harrison. Cross over Paulina Street to enter Professional Building II and proceed to the 5th floor.

Public Transportation:

  • Blue line train to “Illinois Medical District” stop and walk south on Wolcott Ave. Turn left on Harrison St (heading east) until you arrive at the intersection of Paulina and Harrison. Enter Professional Building II and proceed to the 5th floor.
  • Pink line train to “Polk/Paulina” stop and head north on Paulina until you reach 1725 W. Harrison.
