Chair-Elect

The Chair-Elect serves as a member of the Executive Committee. The Chair-Elect is the first of three years of service to the Section. Responsibilities of the chair-elect include, but are not limited to, the following:

Executive duties. During the year as Chair-Elect, duties include attending the Section Executive Committee meetings and the Section Annual Business Meeting, assuming the responsibilities of the Chair when necessary and providing assistance in conducting the ongoing business of the Section.

Appointments. This position may also be responsible for making appointments so that the persons would be ready to start January 1 when the Chair-Elect becomes Chair.

Section-Specific Duties. The chair-elect of some Section have responsibilities that are not required of all sections Chairs-elect. See the Section Charter for detail.
