2023 Fall Symposium: Statistics in Government

2024 Nevada K-12 Statistics Poster Competition Results

The rules and entry form are now available for the 2024 Nevada K-12 Statistics Poster Competition. Entries are due by Wednesday March 20, 2024. We eagerly look forward to this year's entries. A judging rubric is also available.

We are proud to announce the winners of the 2022 Nevada K-12 Statistics Poster Competition! After pausing the Competition in 2021, we are excited to once again congratulate our winners!

NV-ASA wishes to thank all teachers and students who entered posters in the competition this year and the judges for their hard work in determining the winners. Shout-out to Elizabeth Harris for taking over the Poster Competition Coordinator reins from Tia Price.  Thank you for all your work Elizabeth!

All recognized posters were sent to the American Statistical Association National Competition.

We did have one Nevada winner at the national level! In the 10 -12 category, Coronado High School students Sarah Crockett, Sheldon Skoboloff and RaeAnne Zobel received an Honorable Mention with their poster, Music Consumption. The advisor at Coronado is Amy Leonard. 

At the national level, first-place winners received $300, a plaque, a plaque for their school, and grade-appropriate graphing calculators for the students and advisers provided by Texas Instruments. Second-place winners received $200 and a plaque; third-place winners received $100 and a plaque; and honorable mentions received plaques.
