    Apologies for cross-posting. The Philadelphia Chapter of ASA is pleased to host the virtual half-day ASA Traveling Course:

    "Tree-Based Machine Learning Methods for Prediction and Variable Selection"

    Instructors:

    Hemant Ishwaran, Professor, Biostatistics, University of Miami

    Min Lu, Research Associate Professor, Biostatistics, University of Miami

    When: October 24th from 8:00am to 12:00pm EDT
    Format: Virtual

    Cost: $15 for students, $35 for chapter members, $40 for non-chapter members

    Before October 24th, an email with the course materials and the virtual meeting link will be sent to all registrants. There is no requirement that you attend all parts of this course if you are unable to make the entire morning.  Participants are encouraged to attend live as much as possible since the interactive format and Q&A are an important part of the course.
