Just a short reminder that anyone wishing to submit a proposal for consideration as an "Invited" talk for next year's JSM meeting in Miami must do so through the on-line system by 11:59 p.m. next Wednesday evening (September 8).
I understand that several proposals are in the works, but, as of yet, no proposals have been submitted with the Consulting Section listed as the sponsor. Over the past several months we have had several thoughtful and even lively discussions posted to the Consulting Group's Board (e.g., contracts with clients, malpractice insurance, setting up an independent practice/LLC). These would all be great topics for presentation if anyone is interested in coordinating such a presentation--just let me know.
Alternatively, if you have other ideas that are "in the works" but are haivng trouble finding an additional speaker, feel free to let me know that, as well. We are very much looking forward to seeing everyone in Miami Beach next year! Thanks for being a part of the Statistical Consulting Section.
