Is there a way to do settings so that the messages can be treated as ordinary email in Thunderbird?
Most of all can the Subject header be set so that it will thread messages?
If I understand correctly, many mail programs thread on the basis of a subject being prefaced with "Re:" and then nest messages according to data and messages they are a reply to.
Also. particularly when working offline. it would be helpful if "reply" went to OP (original poster)
and "Reply all" went to the OP and the group as as a CC:.
That is the way LISTSERV groups have worked for years.
Offline mail is very useful while flying, on a smart phone, or on a dial up. One connects to the net and downloads messages. One can then compose replies and send them later when connected to the net.
