    To whom it may concern:

Does anyone can help me understnad the relation of nonparametric maximum likelihood and least square estimator with survival analysis?  All I have learned is Kaplain Meier and Cox proportional hazard method for clincial studies.

    Thank you !

Kaplan Meier is a nonparametric Maximum Likelihood procedure.  The latter may also include the Turnbull method, an interval-censored version of Kaplan Meier.  So NPMLE is a more general term than Kaplan Meier, but includes KM.

The Kaplan-Meier curve is the nonparametric maximum likelihood estimator of the survival function. I don't know the connection with least squares?
