Hi everyone,
The Steering Committee for the Conference on Statistical Practice (CSP) 2017 is thinking about facilitating a dinner for statistical consultants during the conference. The conference will take place in Jacksonville, Florida on February 23-25, 2017.
The dinner will enable consultants to come together under the same umbrella, make valuable connections, exchange experiences, get moral support from one another and have a jolly good time.
Participating consultants will be expected to cover the cost of their own dinner, but will not have to worry too much about the details involved in organizing the dinner.
If you like this idea and are interested in coming on board as a dinner participant, please e-mail me this week at isabella@ghement.ca.">isabella@ghement.ca. If enough interest exists, I will start compiling a list of participants, so that we can establish a mutually convenient date and time for the dinner.
We will also need a volunteer to help with the local arrangements (e.g., finding a good restaurant near the conference venue, making restaurant reservations). If you are planning on attending the conference and would like to help, please e-mail me at your earliest convenience at the same e-mail as above.
