The Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention has an opening for a GS-14 Mathematical Statistician on the Statistical Science Team, QSDMB. This position is open to both internal and external candidates. Duties include:
1. Design statistical components of research studies to estimate effects and test hypotheses related to HIV/AIDS Prevention research.
2. Develop and apply a wide variety of statistical methodology and inference techniques.
3. Apply existing statistical inference procedures, develop new techniques or refine existing techniques whenever necessary.
4. Implement new procedures requiring the innovative use of existing statistical software such as SAS, or SUDAAN.
5. Prepare manuscripts for publication or other technical reports, for non-statistical audiences.
6. Assist in the planning, coordination, and review of data analyses.
