LW Consulting, Inc., a leading provider of management services, strategic advisory services, financial advisory services, market research and specialized consulting services to healthcare providers has an immediate opening for a Statistical Consultant in our Harrisburg, PA office.
This position will be responsible for reviewing statistical methodology and data analysis, for clients in the health care industry, including developing statistically valid random sample development for compliance audits. The Consultant will review statistical methodologies utilized in Medicare audits and opine on accuracy of methodologies used. They will also provide expertise in statistical methodologies and project management support.
Responsibilities will include contributing to the design, development and delivery of consulting projects. Reviewing and analyzing client requirements and assisting in the development of proposals that ensure profitability and high client satisfaction. The Consultant may provide direction and guidance to Analysts and Consultants assigned to engagement. Develops detailed documentation and specifications, and performs qualitative and/or quantitative analyses to assist in the identification of client issues and the development of client specific solutions. Consultant will also provide statistical methodology and project management support in the delivery of compliance audits and IRO services. Applies appropriate methodology when implementing studies.

Requirements
Minimum education, experience and specialized knowledge include; a Bachelor’s degree with 5 – 8 years of related experience in statistical methodology, consulting, and healthcare industry; Graduate degree preferred; experienced user of RAT-STATS (OIG issued software); technical knowledge/skills include: multivariate analysis, regression analysis and forecasting, and sampling. Technical knowledge of Medicare auditing standards and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards. Must be proficient with MS-Excel, MS-Access and PowerPoint.
In addition the candidate will be able to manage multiple projects, juggle priorities and deliver on tight deadlines. They will have knowledge of consulting methodologies, tools and techniques related to functional area, as well as knowledge of key issues and current compliance developments in the healthcare industry. Excellent presentation and communication skills are required. Candidate will have necessary subject matter expertise to effectively manage projects within a given practice area and experience analyzing large amounts of data.
