CDC's Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention has an opening for a 12/13 Mathematical Statistician. This position is open to both internal and external candidates (see links below)
Duties include:
- Serve as program technical advisor developing methods and selecting techniques to conduct methodological research to improve sample surveys or experimental designs.
- Design, develop, and apply mathematical techniques to statistical research related to methodology used in research, and evaluate the results.
- Provide advice and assistance for statistical projects or studies that are new or significant departures from the relationships established in previous problems, studies, or investigations, causing outcomes that are usually original in nature.
- Communicate information to various audiences.
- Write statistical and analytic reports from major studies and continuing projects; and disseminates results of research projects in a wide range of venues including manuscripts, and special reports.
