The 2015 Quality and Productivity Research Conference will be held June 10-12 at the College of Textiles at NCSU, Raleigh, NC. The conference is hosted by JMP and will include plenary sessions by such thought leaders as Michael Rappa, Director of the Institute of Analytics at NCSU, Chris Gotwalt, Director of Statistical Research and Development at JMP, Blan Godfrey, Joseph D. Moore Distinguished University Professor, College of Textiles, NCSU, and Jerry Williams, Project Manager for Environmental Sustainability at SAS Institute.
The strong invited and contributed program covers timely topics such as text analytics, big data, simulation, penalized regression models and covering arrays as well as traditional topics such as design and analysis of experiments, reliability models, and statistical process control. Also included in the program is a panel discussion on modern experimental design training methods featuring experts from industry, academia, and government.
A pre-conference short course on reliability test planning and analysis by Bill Meeker of Iowa State University will be held on Tuesday, June 9. On Wednesday, attendees will gather at the beautiful Hunt Library for a banquet and dinner talk from the honored guest, Janet Myhre, Professor Emeritus at Claremont McKenna College. Thursday evening's plans include a tour of the SAS campus, a reception in a LEED Platinum certified building, and a talk on environmental initiatives.
