    The Department of Statistics at Oregon State University (OSU) is pleased to invite applications for a 9-month (1.0 FTE) tenured faculty position at the rank of Full Professor, with an anticipated start date of September 16, 2015.  Requirements include a Ph.D. in Statistics, Biostatistics or related field; evidence of excellence in teaching and in independent and collaborative research in Statistics and evidence of a commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.  The candidate must have scholarship activities, teaching, advising, and service experiences and distinction commensurate with the rank of Full Professor at Oregon State University.  Candidates with experience working with large and complex datasets are especially encouraged to apply.

     The Statistics Department has 14 faculty members and roughly 60 graduate students. We offer M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Statistics, and we are developing a M.S. program in Data Analytics that will be offered exclusively on-line starting in September 2015.  Please visit our website at http://stat.oregonstate.edu to learn more about the Department, current faculty interests, etc.  We are a relatively young faculty with a lot of enthusiasm for working on collaborative research problems in diverse areas, and we are committed to educating current and future generations of statisticians, data analysts and data consumers.  We maintain strong collaborative research ties with the U.S. EPA Corvallis Environmental Research Lab, the Linus Pauling Institute, the Environmental Health Science Center, the Center for Genomic Research and Biocomputing, and several state and federal agencies involved with natural resource monitoring.  OSU is a vibrant, energetic, creative place, and Corvallis was recently ranked 5th among College Towns in the US.
