Statistical Modeling and Program Development
The Solis Group is seeking an individual with a background in Statistical Analysis to support a complete overhaul of the maintenance program for one of our clients in the rail industry. This is a truly interesting opportunity to apply your statistical capabilities and critical thinking skills to develop a reliability centered maintenance (RCM) program for the client. It is anticipated that this will be a multi-year engagement.
Job responsibilities will include:
- Developing a statistical model to analyze past maintenance activities and determine which strategies have worked and which have not
- Building a new methodology for scheduling repairs with an eye towards preventative care
- Understanding and implementing a reliability centered maintenance (RCM) program
- Creating a total maintenance management system, including a database of equipment
- Identifying underperforming components in the system and proposing improvements with cost benefit analysis
Required skills:
- Undergraduate degree in statistics or mathematics
- 5+ years professional experience, preferably in the transportation industry
- Understanding of databases, preferably with some development experience
- Ability to think critically and develop solutions that are realistic and implementable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- MS Office Suite
