Could you please let me know if there are boutique recruitment firms in Greater St. Louis / Southern Illinois area that place statisticians and other professionals with advanced quantitative background.
To clarify what I am after, here's a quote: "...go to a small boutique search firm that actually has good contacts in your industry. Use a headhunter who flies below the radar, and who will go out and meet, talk with, and cultivate the best industry sources to get credible, trusted referrals to the best candidates. These are often solo practitioners who are highly respected in the industries they hunt in - headhunters who have relationships that yield excellent referrals. They don't need LinkedIn..."

A distinct feature of a boutique headhunter is that she always meets with the employer in person. Like many of you, I have a lot of headhunters connected to me on LinkedIn, and from personal experience I know that almost all of them are the so-called "basement recruiters" who are far from adequate.
