    Hello,

    We had a terrific program at JSM and I would like to thank all of the presenters and organizers for the great slate of sessions.  After careful deliberation by the Section's Executive Committee, I am pleased to announce the following award winners.

    Julia Sharp from Clemson University won the award for organizing the Best Topic Contributed Session for the session "Collaborative Statisticians Advancing Their Careers in an Academic Setting."  Julie will receive $750 and a plaque.

    Emanuel Msemo from Virginia Tech won the award for the best Contributed Paper for "Impacting Agricultural Productivity in Tanzania Through the Wheels of Statistics."  Emanuel will receive $500 and a plaque.

    Meng-Ru Cheng, Amylou Dueck, Evan P. Kransdorf, Octavio E. Pajaro, and Yu-Hui Chang from Mayo Clinic won the award for the Best Poster for "Rate Data Modeling: Using the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network/United Network for Organ Sharing Database."  Meng-Ru and colleagues will receive $250 and a plaque.

    Congratulations to our winners and thanks to everybody who presented, organized, or attended at our Section's sessions.
