    Description

     

    The Quantitative Sciences Unit in the Department of Medicine at Stanford University is seeking a highly motivated, hard-working and professional statistician to join their team.  The successful candidate will join a vibrant team of academic statisticians and database experts working on a wide variety of collaborative projects in medicine.  This position holds excellent career development opportunities.  


    Qualifications

     

    The applicant should hold at least a masters degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related field and 1 year experience.  Candidates with a PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics or a related field are desirable.  Additionally, at least two years of experience manipulating large databases and doing data analysis is desirable.  The applicant should have strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.  Experience with multiple statistical programming languages such as SAS and R is required.
