Could anyone provide any recommendations for software packages which assist with monitoring and reporting time spent with clients especially in tracking non face to face time.
I work in a University setting and see mostly staff and students who are not charged so although billing facilities would be useful it is really the time tracking I am interested in advice on.

I use Responsive Time Logger. It allows you to set up multiple clients, multiple employees for tracking, and to set the billing rate per task. You click to start or stop the timer but also can click a Pause button when you are interrupted, e.g., by a non-related phone call. At the end of the month, summaries by client can be printed.
