    There are two sessions on professional accreditation at JSM that might be of interest to section members whose primary focus is the application of statistics.  The first session is an informational session, where there will be an overview of the process and three accredited members will discuss their experience with the process and benefits of being accredited.  The second session is a panel session that will discuss results from the 2012 accreditation survey, why accreditation is important for consultants, and accreditation programming.  Below are the details for each session.

    Accreditation Information Session

    Tuesday, August 6

    12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m.

    Room CC-510a of the Montréal Convention Center

     

    Join Accreditation Committee chair, Theresa Utlaut, for an overview of the accreditation process. Three accredited members-John Bailer, Sam Gardner, and Jeri Mulrow-will speak briefly about why they sought accreditation and offer advice. You will learn about the potential value of ASA accreditation to you and what is involved in applying.
