Dear Members,
My name is Kevin Lutz and I am an assistant professor of biostatistics in the Peter O'Donnell Jr School of Public Health at the University of Texas Southwestern (UTSW) Medical Center in Dallas, TX. One of my collaborators is looking for someone, preferably in academia with a PhD, who has expertise in survey design and analysis. The PI has asked me to include a brief description of their specific needs, which is included below. Your time will be supported and co-authorship in any future publications will be on the table as well. Time/support is negotiable with the PI. If you would like more information, please contact me at Kevin.Lutz@UTSouthwestern.edu. Please send your CV as well. Lastly, if you are not interested but may know someone who is interested and qualified, please forward this message to them. Thank you for taking the time to read my post. Have a great week!
Best,
Kevin
To develop a questionnaire on quality of life (Qol) for women with recurrent urinary tract infections (rUTI).
The project has already started and has identified 41 domains which were interrogated in a sample population, then reduced to 19 items. The current UTI-QoL version is being administered for sensitivity to change to women at the start of an antibiotic treatment for a symptomatic UTI and then re-administered over the phone one week later after completion of the antibiotic course. The next steps are to analyze the current dataset and see if the UTI-Qol questions can be further reduced to less domains. Then we will validate this latest version of the UTI-QoL questionnaire in a large cohort of women with various ethnicities (multicentric study), possibly through an NIH R 21 granting mechanism or internal funding.
