I am posting the following for our Section Chair, Chris Barker:

Dear Members of the Statistical Consulting Section.
Permit me to introduce our Section Chair Elect, Dr. Robyn Ball, who will be posting to section members on my behalf due to a ASA community software problem or "bug"
    Some background:
Rick Peterson at ASA HQ is aware of the bug and working on resolving the matter. We do not have an Estimate of time when the bug will be resolved. Due to this unexpected "bug", in my role as Section Chair, I am temporarily unable to create a post to the consulting section members  and I am temporarily unable to respond to posts.
The section officers, in response to this software bug , have prepared a "temporary transfer of Section Chair authority" . This is a draft version and the section elected officers will vote on at the upcoming meeting of the elected officers ( meeting to occur late may/Early June). The officers will post the official policy after the May/June officer meeting.
please welcome Dr. Ball , and she will be posting on my behalf.
Let me reassure There are no urgent section issues.

In closing and On a  more important forward looking note, I recommend section members read the interview with ASA President Dionne Price about Diversity and the ASA anti-racism committee and the ASA external partner.Nova group assisting the ASA in diversity efforts
