Statistical Consultant Directory Update

    Hello Section Members,

I am looking forward to seeing many of you at JSM this week!

I'm reaching out about the ASA Statistical Consulting Directory. As Chair of the Section, I've been leading a working group of Section volunteers on a general update to the Directory. Our existing directory (https://ww2.amstat.org/consultantdirectory/) has gotten a bit out-of-date. While a Directory listing is a valuable benefit of Section membership and especially so for independent consultants, a stale directory is counter-productive, so we've made the following updates.

Most importantly, the Section will now maintain its own Directory website, and the ASA website linked above will be retired. To be listed on the Section's new Directory, members will need to fill out an annual "update" form. We've also refreshed the user interface - a draft of the new Directory is posted here: https://asa-cnsl.github.io/consultant-directory-website/directory.html

Current Section members listed on the existing Directory have already been auto-migrated to the new one, but in order for it to be listed in the new format you may want to update your listing (using the link below). Every listed member will be asked to renew their listing in early 2027. We hope this annual update process leads to a more sustainable, accurate resource for the membership going forward.

    What you can do now:

    ·       New to the Directory or want to update your listing? Fill out the form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdU__AWWWNNXsIw3cOwajCUwcNuPjK3u0vRXM9_tDnbm1nC0A/viewform?usp=dialog

    ·       Curious what it looks like? Preview the new site: https://asa-cnsl.github.io/consultant-directory-website/directory.html

Thank you to the Directory working group for their efforts: Ricky Rambharat, Kim Love, Neal Fultz, Andrea Biel, Adam Batten, Jim Garrett, and Rebecca Bergee.

We'll have a table at the Mixer on Monday to discuss this further. I hope to see you there! Feel free to bring any feedback on the new Directory.

    Cheers,
    Ryan Peterson
