This is a call for applications for a special program designed to mentor 4 selected (junior-level) PhD faculty - tenured or non-tenure track- learn more about what it takes to collaborate with other researchers  in developing a competitive R01 level grant proposal.   This training program is funded by NIH as part of a 3.5 day "Advanced Research Institute" (ARI) workshop, designed to mentor junior scholars in mental health and aging, with a goal for them to obtain their first R01.  (See attached documents for more details and application information).  All expenses are paid by the grant, and the application deadline is December 16, 2025.

Note that the type of research areas on which these researchers are focused ranges across brain imaging to treatment interventions/trials to health system changes.
