I would like to thank all that attended and participated in the Panel Discussion on the documentary Picture a Scientist last week that was hosted by the CNSL Section. Several topics came up in the chat in addition to what was planned, including:

    • Issues around waiting to file Title IX reports until after promotion
    • Experience with the same equity and inclusion issues now as 35 years ago
    • Bystander training
    • Identifying micro-aggression
    • Statisticians being viewed as technicians vs. scientists
    • True diversity vs. assimilationist diversity

Additional resources were shared in the chat during the webinar:

As always, please reach out to me if there are webinars or other activities you would like the Section to host!
