    Dear Section Members,

    We are currently soliciting nominations for the Section's Outstanding Mentor Award. Nominations are due no later thaan April 27, 2026.

    As outlined on the mentor award nomination form (attached), this award was established to recognize current Section members who are outstanding mentors in statistical consulting and who encourage colleagues at all levels to learn, grow, and to recognize and seize career opportunities as they come along.

    Nomination packets must include:

    • Nomination form (attached);
    • Nominee's current curriculum vitae (up to 10 pages) highlighting:
      • mentoring activities and awards
      • involvement/membership in Section
      • abstracts, papers, book chapters, other published materials co-authored by nominee and mentees
      • list of current and previous mentees with a short description of mentoring relationships (e.g. graduate committee, mentor for junior colleagues; mentor on a specific project) and include length of mentoring relationship and mentees' current titles and positions.
    • Nomination letter which should summarize the nominee's actions that support and encourage colleagues in the statistical community in developing their careers, especially statistical consulting; and
    • Up to two supporting letters (scanned).


    This is a great way to honor somebody who has made a difference in your career and the careers of your colleagues or community. Please consider nominating someone for this award.
