Maggie,
You've done a great job leading the Section this year! Thank you for all your hard work. It was also great to again be with section members at JSM.

Subject: End-of-year summary
Dear Section members,
As we are approaching the holidays and the end of the year, I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve you as the section chair. Our section is such a lively and close community. I would like to thank our Executive Committee members and volunteers for their contribution to make the strong connections happen. Below you will find a brief summary of some of the activities our section had during the past year. In addition, I have copied the section resource for your convenience.
I look forward to our section's new page under the leadership of Chris Barker in the next year.
Happy Holidays!
Best,
Maggie
Section Activities:
1. We launched a project-based mentoring platform: https://community.amstat.org/cnsl/forconsultants/request-mentor
2. We had 4 webinars (Career in Pharma, Staff Promotion, Picture a Scientist, Negotiation Skills, Career in Health Institute). The first and last one was particularly geared towards student members.
3. We started our section's social media accounts and enriched the Youtube Channel, which includes a personalized Introductory video for the consulting section (in production).
4. We published the Special issue of Statistical Consulting and Collaboration in Stat.
5. Our 5 active Networking Groups (see below) continue to grow.
6. We increased student participation: formally appointed the first two student liaison positions. The two student liaisons reached out to multiple universities and advocated for the consulting section and the webinars.
Section Resource:

A group of volunteers from our section put together a guidebook for private consultants covering some of the topics. Considerations for Running an Independent/Small Statistical Consulting Business
The meet-up for statistical consultants group has quite a few independent consultants and they discuss a diverse range of topics.
Finally, our section has a youtube channel that contains our past webinars: AmStat Consulting Section. And follow us on twitter: https://twitter.com/ASA_CNSL and linkedin: ASA Statistical Consulting Section | LinkedIn
