Dear Section members,
---------------->>>>>>>>>>>>>>>If interested in below, please email me directly at chris.barker@barkerstats.com<<<<<-------
below I present a description provided to me. a potential project for a statistician with background in women's health and fertility/reproductive endocrinology/obstetrics and IVF.
Background
I was contacted directly about below Due to a potential minor glitch in the section system for identifying and requesting a statistical consultant and potential client (Ari Brandes https://www.linkedin.com/in/ari-brandes-179308/) .
------------Mr Brandes is looking for a consultant Statistician -for his client- and statistician must have expertise in Women's health/fertility /reproductive endocrinology/obstetrics for a project about IVF (in vitro fertilization)
I chatted with Ari to pin down details of the project. Excerpting from our mutually agreed description of the work.
I insisted the statement about the consultant being paid on a 1099 be added to the description. :)
here:
A client is looking for assistance from a statistician in developing a meta-analysis on the latest studies regarding the probability of success of various infertility medical treatment, including in-vitro fertilization. The client has done a limited literature search, but the consultant must have experience in fertility / reproductive endocrinology / obstetrics to be able to most efficiently assist with completing the literature review and identifying any other sources of data available. The client will be happy to consider consultants without this subject-matter expertise but with deep experience on the meta-analytic/meta-regression statistical aspects of the project. The second aspect of the project is, as mentioned, a meta-analysis or meta-regression or other appropriate statistical techniques to create a statistical prediction model akin to the the one available on the CDC's web site (https://www.cdc.gov/art/ivf-success-estimator/index.html). Client will accept an arrangement for a consulting statistician on a 1099 basis.
