    Consulting Section Colleagues--

Please share this call for letters of intent with any colleagues or collaborators involved in community-engaged research who may be interested. Thanks!

    -------------------------------------

The Interdisciplinary Research Leaders program (https://irleaders.org/) and the Journal of Participatory Research Methods (https://jprm.scholasticahq.com/) are pleased to announce our second special issue. Our first collaboration resulted in a special issue on "How Communities and Research Institutions Work Together to Dismantle Structural Racism and Advance Health Equity" (https://jprm.scholasticahq.com/issue/10601). Our second collaboration is focused on "Participatory Dissemination", the final, critical phase of participatory, community-engaged, or action-oriented research.

Participatory dissemination refers to the collaborative sharing of research or project results with communities in accessible and actionable ways. Examples include storytelling, art installations, community events, public arts, infographics, books, videos, or other formats for lay audiences. We seek manuscripts that show and tell about the process used to decide with study partners, co-researchers, and the community how, with whom, and in what ways to share the work, as well as descriptions or examples of materials produced for layperson and community use.

We are accepting letters of intent (LOI) until July 15, 2025. Details can be found here: https://jprm.scholasticahq.com/post/3129-call-for-lois-special-issue-on-participatory-dissemination-in-collaboration-with-the-interdisciplinary-research-leaders-robert-woods-johnson-found.  Direct letters of intent, and any questions, to the three guest editors listed below.
