We are thrilled to announce the establishment of the Deborah F. Swayne Award for Statistical Graphics, created to honor the outstanding contributions of Deborah F. Swayne to the field of statistical graphics. This award recognizes individuals who have made significant advancements in statistical graphics, celebrating Debby's enduring legacy and impact.
Award Details
- Prize: Reimbursement of the recipient’s registration fee for the Joint Statistical Meetings (JSM) in the year they are selected
- Selection Process: The recipient will be chosen at random from the members of the Statistical Graphics section present at the JSM section mixer.
- Responsibilities & Nominations: There are no obligations for recipients, and no nomination process is required.
Inaugural Session at JSM 2025
To commemorate the launch of the Deborah F. Swayne Award, we are planning an invited session at the 2025 JSM, focusing on topics related to Debby's pioneering research in statistical graphics. We hope to have Debby in attendance to celebrate this momentous occasion.
We invite all members of the Statistical Graphics section to celebrate this new award and participate in the selection process at the upcoming 2025 JSM mixer.
