Career Development Committee offers Webinar on Portfolio Technology Adoptions - May 13

How do you advertise your work and skills in a remote environment? How do you demonstrate technical skills to employers before interviews? How do you build your network and cultivate a vibrant online, professional presence? These are the questions the ASA Committee on Career Development (CCD) has been thinking about, and which have influenced the redesign and launch of the CCD Portfolio Project. At 12:00 PM EDT on May 13th, the CCD technology subcommittee will offer an interactive webinar introducing the Portfolio Project based around producing high-quality, professional technical online portfolios. During the webinar, we will cover a range of topics such as why we should build a portfolio, offer an opinionated though widely-accessible approach to building portfolios, walk attendees through development of our own portfolio through a live and interactive demonstration, and finally address how to get involved with the Portfolio Project. ASA's Committee on Career Development provides support and information about career decisions to ASA members along with providing information to non-members who are considering a career in statistics.  ASA CCD hosts events - including the CCD JSM 2022 Guided Networking event - and highlights resources for professional development and mentoring across ASA.
