Caucus for Women in Statistics & Data Science (CWS)
The Caucus for Women in Statistics & Data Science (CWS) is an international, professional statistical society formed in 1971, for the education, employment and advancement of women in statistics and data science. Its membership is open to anyone who supports CWS’s mission and vision, from academia, industry, government and elsewhere. This organization is independent from ASA, but maintains a close association and sponsors many joint efforts and conferences.
The CWS vision is a world where women in the professions of statistics and data science have equal opportunity and access to influence policies and decisions in workplaces, governments, and communities. The CWS mission is to advance the careers of women statisticians and data scientists through advocacy, providing resources and learning opportunities, increasing their professional participation and visibility, and promoting and assessing research that impacts women statisticians and data scientists.
