International Conference for Health Statistics in the Pacific Islands
5-8 July, 2011
Tanoa Plaza Hotel, Suva, Fiji

The International Conference for Health Statistics in the Pacific Islands (ICHSPI) was established in order to provide much-needed training in the field of statistics to health workers in the Pacific Islands. This conference brings together statistical experts from around the world (including the US, Australia, and New Zealand), local statisticians from the Pacific Islands, and local health workers who are seeking to advanced their knowledge of statistics to support their work in other health disciplines. It is envisaged that approximately half of the conference sessions will focus on statistical training (provided by local and international experts) and that half of the conference will focus on research seminars. In these seminars researchers will discuss health projects that they are currently involved in and the role of statistics within these projects.
