International Biometric Society Australasian Region (IBS)

"The International Biometric Society (IBS) is devoted to the development and application of statistical and mathematical theory and methods in the Biosciences, including agriculture, biomedical science and public health, ecology, environmental sciences, forestry, and allied disciplines. The Australasian Region is one of 19 regions under the IBS umbrella that provides members of The International Biometric Society who predominantly reside in Australia and New Zealand, a local focus and support for biometrics undertaken in this region." New Zealand Statistical Association (NZSA)

"The NZ Statistical Association, founded in 1948, is New Zealand's only association for professional statisticians. The NZSA is registered as a charitable entity. Secretariat of the Pacific Community (SPC) - Statistics for Development
"The region’s policy-makers and analysts depend on having access to timely and accurate demographic, economic and social indicators to support their work, and our merged Statistics and Demography Programme (SDP) aims to strengthen the capacity of national statistical systems and social and economic planning agencies to supply this data. One of the initiatives of the Statistics for Development group is the Pacific Regional Information System (PRISM). "PRISM began as a project to empower SPC member states by providing them with the equipment and skills to publish statistical indicators and information on their own website. Prior to the PRISM project, most Pacific National Statistics Offices (NSOs) did not have a website and now all member states have a website that they own, manage and update independently."
