A list of
Titles, Abstracts, Presenters (Updated on
8/13/2012) has been added to the
information regarding our
2012 Annual
Meeting scheduled for Wednesday-Friday,
August 15-17, at Room 211 Rasmuson Hall at the University of
Alaska Anchorage. Dr. Don L. Stevens,
Jr.,
will be presenting a two-day short course on: Probability Sampling for Spatial Domains. The
course is oriented toward sampling environmental populations
(lakes, rivers, streams, forests, wetlands, and the associated
flora & fauna). It's focused on the approaches developed by Tony
Olsen & Don Stevens within USEPA's EMAP program, but it covers
spatial sampling in general. On the third-day of the meeting
contributed papers will be presented in the morning followed by
the Chapter's annual business meeting.

meeting for the Alaska Chapter of the American
Statistical Association. Early
registration rates apply through Wednesday, August 8.

meeting location for our
2012 Annual Meeting
was confirmed as Anchorage.

Elections for Chapter Officers for one current vacancy and
for terms that begin in 2012 are now open. All Chapter members
have been sent an email "ballot" to vote. If you are a Chapter
member haven't received a ballot --- contact

Statistical Association. Our meeting this year

speaker and she will be putting on a

will be time for talks by our members as well as
anybody else who registers for the meeting, and
as usual we’ll have our annual business meeting
