Our meeting this year will occur Wednesday-Friday, August
15-17, at Room 111 at Rasmuson Hall at the University of Alaska
Anchorage. Dr. Don L. Stevens, Jr., Senior
Research Professor (retired), Oregon State University and Principal
Statistician, Stevens Environmental Statistics, LLC will be
presenting a two-day short course on: Probability Sampling
for Spatial Domains. The course is oriented toward
sampling environmental populations (lakes, rivers, streams, forests,
wetlands, and the associated flora & fauna). It's focused on the
approaches developed by Tony Olsen & Don Stevens within USEPA's EMAP
program, but it covers spatial sampling in general. On the third-day of
the meeting contributed papers will be presented in the morning followed
by the Chapter's annual business meeting.
