Short Course:

Professor Draper will present Bayesian Modeling, Inference and Prediction. Participants are encouraged to have Winbugs installed on their laptop.

Call for Speakers: The conference sessions held on June 24th-26th, will not have any particular theme. Many of our members work in the biological sciences, but by no means is the scope of this conference limited to a particular field. We welcome any talk relating to statistical research or application. To propose a talk, just call 907-267-2176 or send an email. If you already know the title of your presentation then you can include it in the registration form (MSWord document).


Conference Costs:

The cost of this year's conference will be $300-$350 (early and late) for sponsored participants, $100-$150 (early and late) for non-sponsored, and free for students. This covers both the short course and the sessions. The course will start at 8:30 in the morning on June 24th and will end at 5:00 PM on the 26th. We will limit the short course to approximately 30 students. This cost covers both the short course and the sessions. You do not have to be a member to attend.

The meeting will be held at the Gordon Watson Conference Room, US Fish and Wildlife Service building, 1011 E. Tudor Road, Anchorage. Lodgings should be booked independently at any of the nearby hotels. There are also many nice campgrounds nearby.
