George Casella, Distinguished Professor of Statistics at the University of Florida. Dr. Casella is author, with Christian Robert, of a book by the same name.

Call for Speakers: The conference sessions held on the 26th will not have any particular theme. Many of our members work in the biological sciences, but by no means is the scope of this conference limited to a particular field. We welcome any talk relating to statistical research or application. If you are interested in giving a presentation, and you know at this time what the title will be, please include the title in the registration form.

Conference Costs:
The cost of this year's conference will be $220 for sponsored participants, $100 for non-sponsored, and free for students. This covers both the short course and the sessions. The course will start at 8:30 in the morning on July 24th and last two days. The conference will end at 5:00 PM on Thursday the 26th. We will limit the short course to approximately 30 students. This cost covers both the short course and the sessions. You do not have to be a member to attend.

Accommodations:

The conference will be held at the Egan Convention Center, downtown Anchorage.  We have reserved a block of rooms at Inlet Tower Hotel, but you must reserve 30 or more days in advance to get the reduced rate ($159, including hot breakfast).  The Inlet Tower is a 10-15 minute walk from the Egan Center, and the hotel also operates a shuttle.  The phone number is 907-222-8787, and the code to get the reduced rate is
