To our TAIG members who are also ASA members:

The ASA's CoPE (Committee of Professional Ethics)
emphasizes the relevance of the "Ethical Guidelines for Statistical Practice" to statistical practitioners, including data scientists; to promote the development or alignment of professional identity with the Guidelines among ASA members; and to keep the channels of communication open for questions you may have for the CoPE.

The CoPE is currently working on an update to the "Ethical Guidelines for Statistical Practice" to address new developments in the field along with changes/additions proposed by members. The deadline to submit comments for consideration in this revision is February 28, 2021
To comment on the guidelines, members must be logged into their ASA accounts. Then click on the "Join Community" button if they have not yet already done so. They then can use the following link to comment. Please note that all suggestions received through these discussion threads will be considered by the Committee.
