Submit your idea for the BigSurv20 Big Data Challenge! (and don’t forget to prepare your abstract submission)

The planning for the Big Data Meets Survey Science (BigSurv20) conference (November 4-6, 2020 in Utrecht, The Netherlands) is in full swing. Today we’d like to bring your attention to the recently launched big data challenge and to the upcoming abstract submission deadline.

Big Data Challenge! Submit your ideas!
The big news for this week is that we have launched the BigSurv20 big data challenge. (Our live data science event!) The big data challenge will not use existing data. Instead, teams will be given a data-related challenge that requires the need to create and evaluate big data-generating smart systems.

The submissions will consist of two phases: (1) submission of big data challenge ideas (now open!) and (2) registration of big data challenge participants (opens in May). Please consider submitting a big data challenge at https://www.bigsurv20.org/bigdata. If you have any questions about the big data challenge, please contact us at bigdatachallenge@bigsurv20.org.

The abstract submission deadline is just around the corner!
A friendly reminder that the call for abstracts and session proposals closes on February 13, 2020. To submit your abstract for a paper presentation, poster presentation, or software demo, please visit the BigSurv20 webpage at  https://www.bigsurv20.org/abstracts.

If you want to stay informed regarding BigSurv20, visit our webpage, check out our Twitter feed, peruse our January eNewsletter, or subscribe to our future eNewsletters. If you have any questions, please email us at info@bigsurv20.org.
