Happy New Year to you and your families!
It has been a great honor to complete my service as Immediate Past-Chair, TAIG, and Chair of the Nominations Committee, STA, on December 31, this month.
What a three-year journey to be a "startup" Interest Group when Stas initiated the signatures for a beloved interest group, TAIG! It was truly wonderful to meet a number of us to discuss the "big ideas" for text analysis and listen to many of your presentations on relevant and timely topics during the JSM conferences. Recently, your petitions for a new ASA Section, namely the STA, has been successfully approved. Thank you for all of your efforts!
During the next ASA Election Cycle held in Early 2023, please elevate your voice by casting your votes for our future STA Officer Candidates listed on the ballet.
Best wishes for STA's continued successes via exciting opportunities and activities to come, with Dave as the current Chair and Wendy as the incoming Chair!
