Certification through the ASA connects you with established professionals dedicated to continuous improvement and ethical practice and to representing the world of statistics through their expertise and conduct wherever they work.
As a student, you're eligible to certify for the GStat, which prepares you for later accreditation as a PStat® designee. Are you a graduate-student-focused student chapter group? Why not form a support/study group and help each other apply for your PStat accreditations together? ASA members have let us know that accreditation is particularly helpful if you're working as a consultant or plan to work in teams or for employers who may need help in understanding and assessing your skills.
