The Statistical Auditing Interest Group was formed June 2017 through joint collaboration of Roger Pfaffenberger (Ryan LLC), Zachary Rhyne (Ryan LLC), Ryan Petska (EY LLP), and Ed Cohen (EY LLP) in the interest of promoting the practice and profession of statistical auditing and tax sampling with an objective to further streamline audit sampling and increase collaboration.
The American Statistical Association (ASA) is a professional, nationwide, scientific and educational organization whose objective is to foster the use and application of statistics in all fields of human endeavor. Its membership is not confined to professional statisticians but includes economists, business executives, research analysts, government officials, university professors and others interested in the application of statistical methods to practical problems, in the improvement of basic statistical data and the development of more useful methods.
