    Hi Everyone,

          The ASA Section on Text Analysis, the ASA New York City Metro Chapter, and the Department of Statistics at Columbia University have jointly organized an in-person workshop on Statistics and Large Language Models.   It will take place on Monday, July 24, from 1:00 to 5:00 in the School of Social Work building at Columbia University (1255 Amsterdam Ave.).  For more information, and to register, please go to

    Unfortunately, it will not be possible to record this workshop.   Also, the room size means that we must cap attendance at 45.   If there is significant interest in this workshop, others will be organized.

         Also note that there will be a late-breaking session at the JSM on large language models.
