Dear Colleagues,
The planning for JSM 2026 in Boston, themed "Communities iin Action: Advancing Society," is underway, and the Section on Text Analysis calls for submissions of invited session proposals with our section as a sponsor.
Proposals must be submitted online by September 3, 2025 (11:59 pm EST). Formats vary for invited sessions; however, all are 110 minutes in length and have a session chair. The sessions typically include 2–6 participants, including the chair, with two of the most popular and successful formats being 2–3 speakers with a discussant or a panel discussion of 3–5 panelists. Not all sessions have to adhere to the conference theme.
For comprehensive details on submitting an invited session proposal, please visit the submission site: Submissions. if you encounter difficulties in submission, please email meetings@amstat.org.
To submit a proposal, organizers will need the following information:
- Session Type (Invited Paper or Invited Panel)
- Sponsor (JSM partner society/ASA section or committee, Memorial, etc.) - Please list Statistical Consulting as your first choice if you think it is a good fit for our section!
- Session Title
- Session Description (including focus, content, timeliness, appeal, and format)
- Session organizer's affiliation and email address
- Session chair's affiliation and email address
- Session speakers and any discussants, including their affiliations and email addresses
WWe look forward to your innovative and engaging proposals for JSM 2026. If you have any questions or would like to discuss ideas further, please feel free to reach out to me at jun.yan@uconn.edu.
