TEACHING EXCELLENCE AWARD

The chapter offers two awards in teaching excellence – one for college or university educators and one for K-12 educators.  These Awards are established to recognize local educators who have consistently inspired within their students a love and passion for statistics. Nominees should have at least five years of full-time teaching in the greater Philadelphia area.  This award will be given to a maximum of one college/university educator and a maximum of one K-12 educator per year. The award recipient(s) will be chosen based upon the following criteria:

  • Demonstrated impact on their students, including learning statistical content and their views about the discipline, both in and out of the classroom.

A complete nomination package will include:
  • A nomination letter up to four pages addressing points in the selection criteria.
  • The nominee's resume or curriculum vita.
