Career Events

The purpose of our career events is to introduce students to the biostatistics/statistics field or provide early-career statisticians helpful tips for career development. Statisticians from pharmaceutical companies, consulting firms, and academic institutions including colleges and universities will talk about their exciting career. Additional events may include recruitment activities from local universities to introduce their graduate programs. These career-related events provide valuable information for students who are interested in pursuing a statistics career or early-career statisticians who looks for ways to advance their career in the fields of biostatistics or statistics.

     We invite four panelists of statistics/biostatistics/data science professionals in a range of position in the Philadelphia. The panel is intended for students and early career individuals. The panelists will talk about their experience in the work force, provide tips for students when considering jobs and interviews, and give example important traits and strategies for success early in a statistical career. The career panel will take place virtually on Zoom and is free for all participants.
