The AdvaMed Statistical Issues Conference will take place May 9-10, Washington Marriott at Metro Center. Day Zero will take place May 8 and involves a separate registration. Day Zero is co-sponsored by the ASA Section on Medical Devices and Diagnostics (MDD). MDD members will get a substantial discount on registration for Day Zero. (Last year the discount was $100.) This year, MDD officers are working with academia and industry to arrange an exciting Day Zero program that will include statistical issues at the forefront of medical device development and validation. In particular, academicians such as Andrew Zhou (UW) and Larry Tang (GMU) are increasingly interested in developing a venue at which statistic issues for medical devices can be discussed among leading researchers.
