Please join us for the 5th Statistical Practice in Cancer Conference (SPCC), to be held at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa Florida, Friday morning through Saturday noon, March 3-4, 2023. Our Keynote speakers are Qi Long, University of Pennsylvania, "Advancing Data Science for Intelligent and Equitable Health", and Ronglai Shen, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, "Topic modeling of single cells to uncover the hidden structure of the immune microenvironment in cancer patients". Ying Yuan, MD Anderson Cancer Center, will give a workshop entitled "Model-Assisted Adaptive Designs for Clinical Trials: Simplicity Meets Superiority". The two Panel Discussions will be: "Special Issues in the Analysis of EHR Data" (Moderator: Ji-Hyun Lee, University of Florida), and "Home and Office Work Balance Issues" (Moderator: Richie Reich, Moffitt).
The goal of this one-and-a-half day conference is to enhance "best statistical practices" for cancer center biostatisticians. The emphasis is on practical solution to challenges we often face and opportunities to gain efficiencies in our collaborations. Contributions are welcomed from any area of statistical practice in cancer, but the use of real-world data is a particular area of emphasis for the 2023 meeting.
Abstract deadline for the conference is January 9, 2023, and registration by January 30, 2023. The Program Committee will select some abstracts for talks, and others for a poster session. The registration is free for this in-person meeting.
SPCC Planning Committee members are: Leslie Cope (Johns Hopkins), Mithat Gonen (Memorial Sloan-Kettering), J. Jack Lee (MD Anderson), Ji-Hyun Lee (University of Florida), Quincy Mo (Moffitt Cancer Center), Michael J. Schell (Moffitt Cancer Center), Deo Kumar Srivastava (St. Jude Children's Research Hospital), and Heidi Weiss (University of Kentucky).
